About Us

BrassBound Pages is an independent studio creating one-of-a-kind handmade journals, card binders, and collectible artifacts inspired by steampunk, fantasy, and gothic design.

The studio was founded by two longtime friends who have known each other since high school. Coming from different paths, one works as a school teacher while the other focuses on digital and web-based work. What connects them is a shared habit of making things by hand and a long-standing interest in objects that carry personal meaning.

At the heart of BrassBound Pages is a simple belief: everyday objects can be surfaces for creativity. Items we use, carry, and return to in daily life can hold imagination, intention, and emotional value, not just decoration. This way of thinking grew from small, personal acts of making, like carefully writing notes or signing yearbooks for friends, and gradually evolved into experimenting with functional forms. Journals and binders became personal canvases designed to be used, lived with, and returned to over time.

Each piece is made slowly and individually, without fixed templates. Certain components are hand-crafted during the making process, while others are selected and arranged by hand, allowing the composition to develop naturally rather than being predetermined. Because of this approach, no two pieces are ever the same.

BrassBound Pages is not focused on mass production or perfection, but on creating objects that feel personal, grounded, and lasting.
